Investment
A $100 investment payable before your photo session is credited toward the purchase of prints, gifts, wall art, and CDs. Please call or email me to schedule a session. Following the session, I carefully view and adjust each photo to look its best. Included are enhancements to your photos, for example, removing blemishes or bruises. Please allow one week for me to complete this editing process. When your proofs are ready, they are posted online for you to view at your convenience. When you are ready to order, you may choose a variety of prints, cards, mounts, and gifts. If you are interested in black and whites or sepia tones, please let me know. They can be done at no charge. Isolated black and whites (for example, a pink bow and the rest of the photo is black and white) can also be done. A preparation fee of $10 per pose applies to isolated black and whites. Once the pose has been prepared, prints can be ordered at regular prices.

All portraits from your session saved as high resolution files to CD with copyright release: $150. Print, share, copy, and publish your portraits at your convenience for this very low price. Some portrait companies offer your photos on CD, but the files may not be high resolution, meaning you may not have enough resolution to print even a 4x6. Often these CDs do not come with a copyright release. If you do not have a copyright release with professional images, it is illegal to print them, have them developed, or even make cards or gifts from them.

Biography
An interest in photography came naturally to my family and me. I was born and raised in the mountains of Montana with beautiful scenery everwhere to capture on film. Composing an eye-catching photograph wasn't a difficult task. Skip ahead a few years. It wasn't until Brian and I welcomed two kids to our family that I realized what a role photography can play in the recording of family history and memories. When Brian and I made a difficult decision to move away from both of our families, I began keeping a web log with pictures and stories to help keep everyone updated about our family news. Wanting to do the best job I could at freezing each smile, tear, first step, bath, bottle... so our family could share those memories with us, I discovered a new kind of art: perfecting family portraits. My style of portraiture is perhaps a little less structured than others. I prefer the natural expressions: the frustrated face as much as the smiling face, the face covered in mud as much as the clean one. These are the expressions I see everyday in the faces of my family. Disappointed in get-'em-in/get-'em-out strip mall photographers that often produce posed and unnatural portraits, I began investing in my own studio equipment. I was determined to take better, more realistic pictures of my own kids. This turned into an opportunity to share my enjoyment of photography with other families. My style is a bit unique. You'll often catch me snapping pictures inbetween poses, before and after a photo shoot to get those candid, special moments, too.
